Exploring the boundaries between cinema and theatre, The Fourth Wall is a video installation consisting of a darkened space that mimics a movie theatre, from which the audience can observe a living room decor on a small stage.

Amidst these two spaces, a semi-transparent screen is suspended between two black panels that serve as letterboxing to the decor. A 25-minute compilation black-and-white films is projected onto the mesh screen, allowing for part of the film to bleed through onto the background and creating a double image.

Like ghosts, the characters move through the space of the living room, as well as on the flat screen that attempted to materialize the concept of the fourth wall.

Upon leaving the installation, the viewer encounters a drawing of the set; a direct memory of the other world they just witnessed.
